After the pressure and air pressure of the spherical tank are within the specified limits, nitrogen is used for purging before feeding in material. The oxygen content is to be kept at no more than 0.5% (V); no high pressure is required – 2–3 kilograms of pressure is sufficient. Several samples can be taken for analysis, either from the top of the tank or using the magnetic level gauge.
