Do the motors of ordinary pumps catch fire easily?
Why do electric motors catch fire so easily? Don’t they all have overcurrent protection?
It won’t catch fire; at most, the winding coils will burn.

Under normal circumstances, it is the motor of the pump that catches fire
It generally won’t happen. Because the motor housing has flame grooves, and the rotation of the impeller at the back provides air cooling for the motor. This principle is similar to that of a flame arrester, taking advantage of the fact that flames cannot burn in smaller pipes.
The common causes of motor fires are situations such as the pump shaft getting stuck or the motor bearings burning out, which leads to the motor locking up and overheating, thereby causing the motor coils to catch fire. For motors in ordinary pumps, fires are not a major issue as electrical protection mechanisms are in place; however, fires in motors of pumps used for transporting flammable or explosive substances, or substances that facilitate combustion, are quite dangerous~~
