The company originally had two filter presses, used specifically for filtering wet filter cakes. After increasing production volume, two more were added, but they are of a different type (with different filter plate volumes). The same filter cloth as that used in the original two filter presses was employed, but it was found that the filter cake could not be completely filtered clean during filtration; yet the same material could be filtered cleanly using the original filter press. It is unclear what the reason for this is. Could any experts who are well-versed in filter press equipment provide some guidance? Thank you!
The pump flow rate is not quite suitable; once bridges formed in the sludge, the capillary pores came into play.
The selection of the filter mesh size and the choice of pump are both very important; we use plate and frame filter presses, and they work very well.
The filtration pressure is too low; could it be that the pump outlet pipeline is too long or at too great a height, resulting in excessive H-loss?

The filtration pressure is supplied by a pump, whose outlet can reach 5 bar; we manually control the inlet pressure of the filter at 2 bar.

A filter press tank is the same device as a filter press; its appearance is similar to that of a reaction vessel.

Operation-related issues can also be resolved by starting with a weight of 1.5–2 kilograms; reducing the flow rate and then increasing the pressure helps to prevent penetration and clogging of the filter cloth. To put it simply, area and flow rate are not invested in. A pressure of 3-4 kilograms is appropriate; others may vary.
