Recently, hydrogen sulfide gas was detected in the accident tank of our company, with concentrations ranging from a little over ten to over thirty ppm. Our company does not generate sulfur-containing wastewater; emergency tanks are generally used to collect water from the past 15 minutes； I don’t know how to remove the hydrogen sulfide gas inside now Who can give some advice?
It should be a rainwater collection tank. The simplest method is to fill it with water, followed by using a fan for replacement.
Precipitate CaS prior to the reaction with slaked lime； Then use a plate and frame filter for solid-liquid separation.
What about adding a deodorizer? I don’t know the principle; I’ve always thought it’s a complexation reaction.

First, we need to find out why there is hydrogen sulfide gas – it might be produced as a result of some reaction. Pools used for such accidents should not be enclosed; ours are all outdoors!

For rapid removal, a 10% sodium hydroxide solution can be prepared and sprayed into the tank.
