For double-acting valves, if the cylinder is installed vertically, the valve operates with a straight stroke, which can be seen in valves such as those produced by Shanghai Valtek.
Double-acting; in the case of a straight-stroke type, it is possible to see which pipe is open and which one is closed.
Some can be seen, while others cannot.
Check whether the actuator is on the left or right side of the cylinder! In general, for pneumatic valves with angular stroke, whether they are single-acting or double-acting, the end far from the actuator is air-open! The end close to the actuator is the air shut-off! ! ! Of course, there is a prerequisite: whether the valve is air-operated to open or air-operated to close! Most of them should be air-operated valves! I’ve never used a double-acting one for linear motion... so I don’t know! Also, regarding what you mentioned about whether the valve stem of the corner valve moves inward or outward, we can’t tell either!
