Since both the breather valve and the emergency pressure relief manhole are located at the top of the storage tank, inspections are quite difficult. Moreover, the design pressure of the tank is 2000 Pa under positive pressure and 500 Pa under negative pressure; it is said that maintaining the breather valve and pressure relief manhole in winter is very challenging. Workers should carry out inspections on schedule, especially during feeding and discharging, to monitor changes in the pressure inside the tank.
