I currently produce base oil by mixing used engine oil with alkali solution and then carrying out vacuum distillation. The finished product develops an alkaline odor after being stored for some time; how can this odor be removed? I don’t want the manufacturing process to be too complex; I mainly aim to produce low-end products. I seek guidance from experts
