In chemical production, many valves remain unused after the plant starts operating. However, when a malfunction occurs and it’s necessary to operate these valves, they either fail to move or cannot be closed properly. Why is that? \ud83d\ude07\ud83d\ude07\ud83d\ude07
Has it deformed under long-term compression?

It has aged. Additionally, since manual valves require fewer operations and operate in simpler conditions, many people prefer to choose cheaper ones when selecting them; this results in them not performing as well as needed when in use
The valve is deformed, or the valve seat is expanded
1. It won’t move – it could be due to overpressure, rust, or crystal formation of the medium… 2. It can’t be closed properly – the valve core or seat isn’t in place, or the valve core/seat is damaged, or there are foreign objects between them……
