Chemical cleaning process for pipelines and equipment: Pretreatment – water washing – degreasing – water washing – acid cleaning – water washing. For acid cleaning and passivation, 30% concentrated nitric acid is used; at this concentration, nitric acid has the strongest oxidizing power. Moreover, when nitric acid reacts with metals, no hydrogen is released. Even if hydrogen is generated, it is immediately oxidized into water by the excess nitric acid, so no hydrogen is produced that could make the material brittle. For existing organic carbon substances as well as insoluble composite scales such as inorganic salts and iron oxide, concentrated nitric acid is more suitable.
What happens to the rinsing water after the final rinsing step is completed? Is it still collected by the cleaning unit and taken away all?
