Installation instructions for differential pressure balance valves
Thread Content
1. The differential pressure balance valve should be installed on the return pipe, with a pressure guide tube connected to it; the other end of this pressure guide tube is connected to the supply pipe. It is recommended to install a 1/2” ball valve at the supply end of the pressure guide tube in order to enable the function of clearing blockages.2. The flow direction of the fluid passing through the differential pressure balance valve should be consistent with the direction indicated by the arrow on the valve body.
3. A filter screen should be installed on the supply pipe before the pressure guide tube, to prevent poor water quality from causing the valve to lose its automatic regulation capability.
4. Pressure gauges should be installed separately on the supply pipe connected to the differential pressure balance valve and on the return pipe ahead of the valve, to facilitate the adjustment and control of the differential pressure.
5. If the flow rate in the system is found to be too high or too low using the differential pressure balance valve, it may be due to debris getting stuck on the valve plug during installation. In such cases, the 1/2” ball valve can be closed for 3–5 minutes; if the blockage is mild, it will be resolved automatically. If not, the valve needs to be disassembled to remove the obstruction.
6. Method for adjusting the differential pressure: Turn the pressure regulating stem counterclockwise and monitor the differential pressure.
