I would like to ask everyone: for the root valve of the pressure gauge, the valve fitting specified is J23W DN15 with a diameter of 22; the connection fitting for the pressure gauge is M20X1.5/14. How can the pipes with diameters 14 and 22 be welded together? Thank you!
Below the pressure gauge should be a condensation ring, and below that is the root valve; nowadays, root valves generally come with 1/2 inch internal threads, allowing them to be screwed on directly
This post was last edited by “Hasty Passerby” on July 1, 2018, at 17:55. The inner diameter of the valve fitting with an outer diameter of 22 mm is approximately 16 mm. A seamless tube measuring 14*2 should be added between the pressure gauge fitting and the pipe. The seamless tube should be butt-welded to the pressure gauge fitting, and socket-welded to the valve fitting.

The problem now is that one side has the valve’s 22mm thread, while the other side has the 14mm thread of the instrument connection fitting; there is no condensation ring on the straight pipe section – how can they be connected?
A reducer is machined on a lathe.
There are reducer fittings available with a 22-to-14 connection; if the design institute provides the specifications, this will be listed there.
Weld it directly; ask the welder – he has done this many times before
If it can’t be connected, use an eccentric joint as a workaround.
