Recently, the first round of information disclosure regarding the environmental impact assessment of the Dalian Xizhongdao industrial gas project was made available to the public. The Dalian Xizhongdao industrial gas project is located in the Dalian Xizhongdao petrochemical industrial park, with a total investment of 3,608,930,900 yuan. Construct one set of gasification hydrogen production unit with a capacity of 187,300 Nm3/h, and one set each of air separation units with capacities of 60,000 Nm3/h and 35,000 Nm3/h. The coal gasification process includes coal slurry preparation and gasification units, shift units, low-temperature methanol washing units, PSA hydrogen production units, sulfur recovery units, and sulfur granulation and packaging processes ； The storage and transportation system includes strip-shaped enclosed stockyards for raw coal and methanol tank areas, etc. It primarily provides industrial gas services to enterprises in the Nishinakajima Petrochemical Industrial Park. In 2016, Chengzhi Co., Ltd. reached a cooperation agreement with the Dalian Xizhongdao Petrochemical Industrial Park, intending to invest 7 billion yuan to build an industrial gas and methanol-to-olefins production facility in the Changxing Island Economic Zone. The facility was to include plants for producing 300,000 cubic meters of industrial gases, 600,000 tons of methanol-to-olefins (MTO) products, as well as 90,000 cubic meters of cryogenic air separation units. Once completed, this facility would supply industrial gases such as nitrogen and hydrogen to the Xizhongdao Petrochemical Industrial Park. At the same time, Air Products (China) Investment Co., Ltd. is also an important partner in this project. Industrial gases are supplied in an integrated and centralized manner as part of utility services, to ensure professionalism, safety, environmental protection, and efficiency. Gas islands (gasification islands) are classified into enterprise-level and park-level based on the size of the customer base; they are divided into syngas-type (CO+H2, H2, CO) and industrial gas-type according to the composition of the gas supplied. Furthermore, they can be categorized as chemical industry-type (petroleum refining/coal chemical industry/other chemical industries, etc.) and other industrial-type (ceramics/construction materials/cement, etc.), depending on the industries they serve. With the rapid development of gasification technology, the expansion of industrial parks (large enterprises), as well as industrial transformation and upgrading, it has become a trend to use specialized gasification units to supply industrial parks, especially large enterprises, with large quantities of high-quality, low-cost industrial gases such as syngas, hydrogen, and carbon monoxide.
