Meeting on the Review of the Site Preparation Plan for the Zhijin Coal Chemical Project Held / Author/Source: Coal Chemical Industry / Date: 2019-09-19 / Views: 143 From September 10 to 11, 2019, Sinopec Great Wall Energy Chemicals Guizhou Branch organized a meeting to review the site preparation plan for the Zhijin Coal Chemical Project at the Keynes Hotel in Guiyang. On September 11, the meeting was chaired by Zhou Yongtao, the project manager of Sinopec Engineering Co., Ltd., and experts from various engineering fields were invited to conduct a special review of the site grading plan. Lin Guo, deputy general manager of Guizhou Energy Chemicals, as well as representatives from Sinopec’s Engineering Department, Great Wall Energy Chemicals, Southwest Survey and Design Institute, and the various construction units responsible for the survey work at the site, attended the meeting. Through the joint efforts of Guizhou Energy Chemical Group, the design firms, as well as the surveying and construction companies, the feasibility study for the land grading work of the coal chemical project in Zhijin, Guizhou was carried out. Following detailed surveys and additional inspections, a comprehensive and thorough plan was developed for the land grading of this chemical project. On September 10, experts in slope stabilization, flood control and drainage projects, as well as impermeabilization works, visited the project site for an on-site inspection, carefully examining the geological conditions of each section and the results of the slope support tests. On September 11, the meeting heard presentations on plans for slope stabilization, leakage prevention, and flood drainage. Experts from various fields evaluated the site leveling design for the project from their respective professional perspectives, offered constructive suggestions for further improving the design and carrying out the site leveling work, and reached a consensus that the overall plan was feasible. Sinopec Great Wall Energy Chemical (Guizhou) Co., Ltd. is a joint venture established by Sinopec and Guizhou Province. The company was registered and established in Zhijin County in June 2013. Using local anthracite from Guizhou as raw material, this project employs coal gasification technology and S-MTO technology to produce olefins. The construction scope includes the establishment of a 1.8 million tons per year methanol plant, a 1.8 million tons per year methanol-to-olefins plant, 300,000 tons per year of linear low-density polyethylene production facilities, and 300,000 tons per year of polypropylene production facilities, along with the necessary utility systems and auxiliary facilities ; Cogeneration project (including dedicated railway line and slag yard); Zhijin employee shift-change dormitory project. The total investment in the project is approximately 22.1 billion yuan. In November 2018, Sinopec Corporation officially approved the feasibility study report for the Guizhou Zhijin coal chemical project via Document No. [2018]284 issued by Sinopec, granting permission for the implementation of this coal chemical project in Guizhou. In July 2018, the Guizhou Provincial Development and Reform Commission, in accordance with relevant provisions of ** and the ** Catalogue of Approved Investment Projects, approved the construction of a polyolefin production facility with an annual capacity of 600,000 tons at Sinopec Great Wall Energy Chemical (Guizhou) Co., Ltd.
