Successful individual testing of compression units for Inner Mongolia Jushi Energy’s 200,000 tons/year synthetic wax project Author/Source: Sinochem News Network Date: November 21, 2019 Clicks: 60 Recently, the individual testing of the 4 compression units in Inner Mongolia Jushi Energy Co., Ltd.’s 200,000 tons/year synthetic wax project, carried out by the Inner Mongolia Sanju Environmental Protection Project Team of the Fourth Engineering Company of China National Chemical Engineering Corporation No. 11, was completed successfully in just one attempt. All operational parameters met the requirements specified in the testing plan and design specifications, laying a solid foundation for further testing of this project. The 4 compressor units that passed the testing are the core equipment of the synthesis unit and purification unit in the entire synthetic wax project, requiring extremely high installation precision. Inner Mongolia Jushi Energy Co., Ltd.’s 200,000-ton FTO synthesis project uses coke as raw material to produce sulfur-free, aromatic-free, nitrogen-free products with a high degree of normality, including mono-hydrocarbons, light white oils, liquid paraffins, FTO waxes, and other high-value-added clean chemicals that meet the demands of the high-end market. This project is located in Alxa League, Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region. The Fischer-Tropsch synthesis unit employs a fixed-bed Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process using cobalt-based catalysts developed by the Dalian Institute of Chemical Physics, Chinese Academy of Sciences; these catalysts are combined with those produced by Sanmu Environmental Protection. It is connected to upstream projects for coke gas production, and through the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis process, it manufactures high-end products such as 200,000 tons per year of synthetic waxes and environmentally friendly solvent oils. Side-stream tests were initiated at the coking unit of Qitaihe Longpeng Company in early 2016. In September 2016, qualified FTO synthesized oil and FTO wax products were produced; the quality of these products was excellent, far surpassing that of petroleum-based counterparts, and the side-stream tests were a complete success.
