After 13 days of maintenance, these units successfully completed all the required tasks, and the system was brought online 4 days earlier than planned. Following the maintenance, the system operated at full capacity steadily, with ammonia production reaching new highs, thus marking a successful start to the year. Starting in September, the synthetic ammonia branch began to evaluate the system and identify its problems; as a result, 121 maintenance tasks were identified. Departments such as the Operations Department, Equipment Department, and Mechanical and Electrical Instrumentation Department also provided active cooperation, holding several meetings to discuss the maintenance plans. President Li personally led the efforts to finalize the on-site maintenance plans, ensuring both the quality and timeliness of the repairs. Many obstacles were removed through preliminary tests on the system. After replacing the cooling units in the synthesis process, one chiller could save 500 Kw/h in energy consumption; the four chillers that were operating before the maintenance could be brought back into use. The amount of off-gas emitted was reduced by nearly 400 Nm3/h, while the output of liquid ammonia increased by 3 t/h. This optimized the operational conditions of the process, ultimately leading to higher and better production levels. In conjunction with the incremental performance-based wage system, the process team at the branch organized competitions among work teams to measure production efficiency, offering rewards for good performance and penalties for poor performance, **which boosted employees’ enthusiasm. The process team conducts daily, weekly, and monthly analyses of production operations to promptly identify any deviations in output and consumption, continuously optimizing the process parameters. Different targets and production plans are established based on the temperature variations throughout the day – morning, afternoon, and evening. Strictly manage shift handovers: Tight control is exercised over the smooth progress of shift handovers to prevent system fluctuations resulting from such handovers, which could lead to a decrease in production. Through stable handovers between shifts, the variation in production volume per shift is kept within 1 ton. To address the large fluctuations in the system caused by the He Wu Dao molecular sieve, the process team promptly conducted experimental investigations. By increasing the heating temperature and changing the molecular sieve replacement interval from 8 hours to 12 hours, the system fluctuations were reduced. Strengthen the management of unit switching; Deputy Manager Yuan Longbiao is in charge of process-related matters and oversees the training for the He Wu team on unit switching, providing on-site guidance ； The process team requires teams to first submit written summaries, use team meetings for focused discussion and guidance, and then go to the site to analyze and identify operational issues together with the teams. Through training, verification, and assessment, the impact of system disruptions caused by various teams has been significantly reduced, but it is still not ideal. In daily operations, the equipment team implemented the requirements set by Vice President Li Xuchu, and by drawing on the lessons learned from this major maintenance effort, they planned preventive maintenance in advance to improve the operational stability of the pumps. This created favorable conditions for the system to operate at full capacity. Since the resumption of operations after the maintenance on January 12th, the daily production of liquid ammonia has exceeded 1,100 tons for 23 consecutive days. In particular, on January 30th, February 1st, February 7th, and February 10th, the production volume surpassed the previous record levels, reaching 1,126 tons, 1,130 tons, 1,132 tons, and 1,135 tons respectively. In 2022, under the proper guidance of the company, all departments worked together in unity and close coordination, enabling us to achieve successful startings. In the days to come, we will not slack off; instead, we will pool our efforts to boost production and contribute to achieving even better results.
