On January 12, the 60,000-ton-per-year DMC production facility of Chongqing Wansheng Coal Chemical Co., Ltd. produced qualified products, marking the successful commissioning of the entire production process. 　　On December 28 of last year, the company began testing the distillation system with DMC as the feed material; on January 6 this year, the synthesis system was heated up, on January 8 feeding of CO as a feed material started, and on January 9 oxygen was introduced as a feed material, marking the full and safe commissioning of the facility. After 59 hours of tuning, the device finally produced qualified products with a purity of 99.8%. 　　The company adopted the methanol liquid-phase oxidation carbonylation process for DMC production, and invited domestic experts and scholars to conduct repeated evaluations and analyses of the process route as well as the key equipment such as reactors. Construction of the project began last May, and it took only 7 months to produce qualified DMC products and bring the production line online successfully.
