Research and exchanges with various design institutes for Yueneng Chemical’s ethylene glycol project and Tianjin University / Author/Source: Yueneng Chemical / Date: 2020-08-03 / Clicks: 56. In order to accelerate the delivery of construction drawings for the various units of the ethylene glycol project, and to explore ways to develop and innovate the industrial chain associated with this project, from July 27th to 31st, Zhang Jixiao, a member of the Party Committee and vice president of Yueneng Chemical Group Company as well as the company’s chairman, led a delegation to conduct research and exchanges with the various design institutes working on the ethylene glycol project and with the School of Chemical Engineering at Tianjin University. Cheng Yuanfei, deputy head of the company’s Infrastructure Engineering Department, accompanied him on this trip. During the research discussions held with Saiding Design Institute, Tianchen Design Institute, Chengda Design Institute, and Hualu Design Institute, Zhang Jixiao listened to each institute’s updates on the design progress of the various units involved in the ethylene glycol project as well as their plans for delivering the relevant drawings. He also had in-depth discussions with these institutes regarding the expansion of the ethylene glycol industry chain and strategies for product diversification. Zhang Jixiao pointed out that the ethylene glycol project is the first coal chemical project undertaken by Yueneng Group in order to implement the guidelines set forth by the Yulin Municipal Party Committee and the municipal government regarding the development of high-end energy and chemical industries and the increased conversion of coal on-site. It is also Yueneng Group’s first foray into the coal chemical industry. Given the significant importance and far-reaching impact of the successful completion of this project for Yueneng Group, it is hoped that all design institutes will adhere to the principle of sincere cooperation and accelerate their efforts in conducting research and exchanges with the School of Chemical Engineering at Tianjin University. Zhang Jixiao stated that this visit to Tianjin University for research purposes is aimed at accelerating Yueneng Group’s transformation and upgrading, as well as expanding the development prospects of its chemical materials business; by leveraging Tianjin University’s technical expertise and cutting-edge achievements in the field of chemistry, the group hopes to facilitate industrial expansion and product development. It is also hoped that Tianjin University and Yueneng Group can carry out in-depth cooperation in the industrial development of the coal chemical sector, thereby promoting the upgrading of industrial technologies and the improvement of the quality of development. During the inspection tour, Zhang Jixiao and his team also visited Dongfang Electric Group Dongfang Boiler Co., Ltd., the manufacturer of gasifiers for the ethylene glycol project, to assess the progress of gasifier production on site. Li Zhengang, the deputy general manager of the company, and the heads of relevant departments participated in the inspection visit.
