With a total investment of over 15 billion yuan, the 7 projects that are starting construction simultaneously include the Dongyi project, which involves 1.44 million tons of coking capacity as well as the production of 250,000 tons of methanol along with 80,000 tons of synthetic ammonia; the Jinyan project, featuring 2.53 million tons of coking capacity and a facility for the comprehensive utilization of 5 million tons of coker gas per year; the Jinhui project, with 2.05 million tons of coking capacity and a range of antibacterial products; and the Huaqing project, designed for the production of 500,000 tons of water treatment agents per year. **Wang Tinghong, mayor, secretary of the Party Working Committee of Xiaoyi Economic Development Zone, and director of the management committee, stated that projects are the key drivers for stabilizing economic growth and promoting transformation. This year, the municipal Party committee and government have made it a top priority to develop transformation projects, designating the development zone as the main site for such projects. Twenty industrial transformation projects in the development zone have been planned, with a total investment of 33.88 billion yuan. This time, 7 key projects with an estimated investment of 15.391 billion yuan have officially commenced construction, which will surely play a significant role in accelerating the restoration of normal production and daily life across the city, as well as in sparking a surge in project development.
