It is located in the Shijiazhuang Circular Economy Chemical Industry Demonstration Base, covers an area of 849.7 mu, with the plant itself occupying 722 mu. The total investment planned is 4.5 billion yuan, aimed at building a large-scale coal gasification project with an annual ammonia production capacity of 600,000 tons. Upon completion of all projects, the annual sales revenue is expected to reach 1.83 billion yuan, with profits and taxes amounting to 870 million yuan. This project is implemented in conjunction with the 8 million-ton oil refining renovation project at the chemical industry complex. It supplies products such as hydrogen, nitrogen, liquid ammonia, methanol, sulfur, tar, and middle distillates for projects including comprehensive oil refining, caprolactam, and glycine production, while also providing steam to the chemical industry complex. This creates a circular economic development model that integrates petroleum chemistry, coal chemistry, and salt chemistry. The project makes extensive use of advanced domestic and international production processes and equipment, employing mature and sophisticated technologies such as pressure gasification using Lurgi reactors for gas production, low-temperature methanol washing for purification, pressure swing adsorption for hydrogen extraction, the Claus process from the Netherlands for sulfur recovery, the Casali process from Switzerland for ammonia synthesis, the \"dual-pressure\" method for producing dilute nitric acid, and KT granulation. It integrates \"large-scale gasification, large-sized equipment, and product recycling\" into one cohesive system. The project will be constructed in two phases. The first phase of this series of projects focuses on the construction of a 200,000-ton synthetic ammonia plant, a 200,000-ton methanol plant, a 270,000-ton nitric acid plant, and a 400,000-ton *ao acid an plant ； Phase I, Series 2 of the project focuses on the construction of a 250,000-ton synthetic ammonia plant. The project held its groundbreaking ceremony on March 21, 2008, and in June 2009, work commenced on the nitric acid plant and associated utility facilities. At the end of 2011, the nitric acid **plant completed its chemical commissioning process, and the first batch of crystalline *ao acid an products was produced. On May 30, 2014, the series of ammonia synthesis systems in Phase 1 of the project were connected to enable operational continuity, resulting in the production of qualified liquid ammonia; that same year, the project generated revenue of 237.52 million yuan.
