On June 17, Taiyuan Gasification Group Company and ** in Fushan County, Linfen City held a ceremony to sign the framework cooperation agreement, marking an important step forward in the construction of new energy projects by Taiyuan Gasification Group Company in Linfen. In 2018, Taiyuan Gasification Group Company, in line with Linfen City’s efforts to win the battle to protect the blue sky, successively shut down the Tongshida and Jinyao coking plants located in the urban area of Linfen, demonstrating its determination to pursue transformation. The signing of this agreement aims, with the support and promotion of the governments at the Linfen city and Fushan county levels, to build the Linfen new energy project in the Fushan Shuangxin Industrial Park, in line with the policy requirements of \"moving out of cities into industrial parks, phasing out small-scale projects in favor of larger ones, and reducing capacity while replacing it\". The focus is on achieving development in the directions of industrial parkization, sustainability, and high-end standards. The construction of the new energy project in Linfen is divided into two phases. The initial investment for Phase 1 is estimated at around 6.526 billion yuan; it involves building a facility for producing 300 million cubic meters of synthetic natural gas from coke oven gas, along with a coking plant capable of producing 3 million tons per year and a 16-kilometer-long railway line dedicated to this purpose. The total initial investment for Phase 2 is estimated at around 1.8 billion yuan. This phase will focus on advanced processing technologies, with an emphasis on developing industries such as hydrogen energy and needle coke, thereby extending the industrial chain and increasing the added value of products, with the goal of maximizing economic, environmental, and social benefits. At present, the project has completed the registration for part of its production capacity, and it has been approved by Jinmei Group. Shanxi Huaxing Energy Co., Ltd. has been registered, and construction is expected to begin by the end of this year.
