Author/Source: Gasification World Date: December 13, 2022 Clicks: 27 On December 11, 2022, the first of the core equipment for the gasification unit in the relocation, upgrading and technical renovation project aimed at producing 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 600,000 tons of urea annually arrived at Jiangsu JinKong Equipment Xinhengsheng Chemical Co., Ltd. The gasification unit of Xinhengsheng Company utilizes the domestically developed HT-CTH gasification technology, which features \"powder coal gasification + radiant waste boiler + water washing\". Two gasifiers with a diameter of 4.2m each are used to produce 180,000 Nm3/h of useful gas for use in downstream production processes. The gasification furnace was designed by Guizhou Aerospace Maiwei Technology Co., Ltd. and manufactured by Harbin Boiler Factory. As the core equipment of the gasification system, it is designed in two sections; the gasification section that has arrived at the site weighs 160 T, while the waste boiler section weighs 355 T. Starting from loading at Harbin, it took nearly 20 days to reach the construction site of the project. The first gasifier of Xinhengsheng Company’s gasification unit, weighing 515 tons, has been successfully transported to the site, marking that the project construction is about to enter the fast track of installation and laying a solid foundation for subsequent work. Project Overview: The relocation and upgrading project for Jiangsu Jinkong Equipment Xinhengsheng Chemical Co., Ltd., which aims to achieve an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 600,000 tons of urea, utilizes advanced technologies such as Aerospace Maiwei’s semi-waste boiler gasification technology, Huashuo shift reaction, Dalian University of Technology’s low-temperature methanol washing process, Zhongtai liquid nitrogen washing, Cassali ammonia synthesis, and Keyang sulfur recovery. In the first phase, the plant will have an annual production capacity of 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia, 600,000 tons of urea, and 47,800 tons of concentrated sulfuric acid. The project is located in the Suhua area of Xinyi City’s chemical industry cluster, with a total investment of 4.978 billion yuan. In its first phase, it will produce 400,000 tons of synthetic ammonia and 600,000 tons of urea per year (including 600,000 tons of urea-based compound fertilizers), as well as 47,800 tons of concentrated sulfuric acid ； Phase 2 will have an annual production capacity of 200,000 tons of ethylene glycol, with by-products including 150,000 tons of methanol, 6,700 tons of dimethyl carbonate, and 17,600 tons of mixed polyols.
