On the morning of June 21, a brief celebration was held in the central control room, where the company celebrated the successful first attempt at feeding material into the gasifier of the hydrogen production center’s gasification unit. Company leaders such as Chang Yi, Xue Hailong, Wang Ping, Li Bin, Meng Biao, and Liu Runhui attended the ceremony. The heads of various testing teams and specialized groups, as well as the managers of different departments and centers, representatives from the project’s participating units and some staff from the hydrogen production center also took part in the ceremony. Vice General Manager Wang Zhai’e presided over the ceremony. At the ceremony, Zheng Hongzhi, head of the commissioning team at the hydrogen production center, gave a brief report on the trial operation of the gasification furnace, and expressed his gratitude to all levels of the company as well as to the various parties involved for their strong support and active cooperation. Xue Hailong, the general manager of the company, announced the significant success of the trial run, during which feeding into the gasification furnace was accomplished in just one attempt. For this feeding trial run of the company’s gasification unit, it is Gasifier A that is being used. November 2019: The main construction of Vaporizer A was completed in November 2019. November 11, 2019: The initial furnace drying process began on November 11; once the furnace drying was complete, work started on installing various process pipelines. Entering 2020, the company made efforts to overcome the adverse effects brought about by the pandemic and other challenges, taking proactive and effective measures to advance both the completion of the projects and the commissioning of the installations through collective effort. May 26, 2020: On this date, the coal grinding and slurry preparation system began to use coal, and qualified water-coal slurry was produced. June 5, 2020: On June 5, Gasifier A had its piping installed, and work on the \"three inspections and four fixations\" as well as various types of testing was initiated, in preparation for the subsequent feeding and trial operation. June 21, 2020, 10:58 – At 10:58 on June 21, after the test operation command team confirmed that all conditions were met, it issued the order to start feeding material into the gasifier. The gasifier began to receive material, and as the flare system ignited with bright blue flames, it indicated that the feeding test of the gasifier had been successful. After feeding began, the entire system operated stably with all parameters within normal ranges. Shaanxi Jingyi Chemical Co., Ltd. is a new-type coal chemical enterprise jointly invested in and established by Shaanxi Yulin Energy Group Co., Ltd. (as the holding party), Shaanxi Hengyuan Investment Group Co., Ltd., and Shenmu Financial Holding Group Co., Ltd. The 500,000 tons per year coal tar deep processing and multi-product integrated utilization project utilizes advanced technologies with independent intellectual property rights, developed specifically for the characteristics of coal tar. The core technology involves a combination of boiling bed hydrogenation for quality improvement of coal tar across all fractions and fixed bed hydrocracking; using medium- and low-temperature coal tar as raw material, it primarily produces high-value aromatic chemical products. The project covers an area of about 1,200 mu, with an estimated investment of around 4.6 billion yuan. The projects mainly include: a 550,000-ton/year coal tar pretreatment unit, a 500,000-ton/year coal tar fluidized-bed hydrocracking unit, a 450,000-ton/year coal tar fixed-bed hydrocracking unit, a 400,000-ton/year naphtha continuous reforming unit, a 170,000-ton/year aromatic extraction unit, a 50,000 cubic meters per hour coal-to-hydrogen unit, a 50,000 cubic meters per hour air separation unit, a 100,000-ton/year methanol synthesis unit, as well as related supporting facilities such as hydrogen purification (PSA) units, sulfur recovery units, phenol-amine recovery units, storage and transportation systems, and other auxiliary and environmental protection systems.
