To ensure the safe, stable, and reliable operation of the ethylene glycol production facility, as well as to prevent any interference between the operations of different production lines, on June 22, the ethylene glycol production unit, in collaboration with Donghua Engineering Technology Company, held a special meeting to discuss the commissioning of a production line with an annual capacity of 600,000 tons of ethylene glycol; a plan for commissioning this line was developed as a result. At the meeting, the technical personnel from the project team discussed the commissioning of a single series with an output of 600,000 tons of EG per year with the relevant leaders and engineering technicians from Donghua Design Institute. Based on the project’s construction schedule and commissioning timeline, they conducted a detailed analysis of each pipeline in the plant’s utility systems as well as the process material pipelines between different series. In line with the principle that individual series are independent of each other and do not affect one another, a startup plan for each series was formulated. The plan requires that corresponding partitions be installed for all utility pipelines and process material pipelines within the main project boundary, and adequate anti-freezing measures must be taken to ensure effective isolation among individual utility systems, process materials, and feed gases. The specific contents include instrument air, circulating water, steam, steam condensate, process materials, feed gas, etc., within the main project area. At the same time, the sequence of project construction was further clarified to ensure that the construction progress meets the requirements for commissioning a single series. The successful holding of this special meeting on the commissioning of a 600,000-ton/year EG production unit clarified the key points for technical preparation in such commissioning processes, improved the system commissioning plan, and established corresponding construction requirements. This provided a technical foundation for the smooth commissioning of the ethylene glycol production unit and for ensuring that the \"21630\" process can produce qualified products throughout its entire cycle.
