A major national asset: a new 3,500-ton-class space furnace has been manufactured. Author/Source: Aerospace Changzheng Chemical Co., Ltd. Date: April 21, 2020. Clicks: 10. On April 16, the internal components of the radiation waste boiler for a gasification furnace capable of processing 3,500 tons of coal per day were manufactured as part of the key research and development project funded by the Ministry of Science and Technology under the theme of “Clean and efficient utilization of coal and new energy-saving technologies” – specifically, the project aimed at developing and demonstrating large-scale dry coal powder fluidized bed gasification technology. This furnace type is the largest pulverized coal gasification furnace in the world at present. Previously, on March 28, the furnace shell of the gasifier that receives 3,500 tons of coal per day was inspected and released from the factory. The gasifier with a daily coal feeding capacity of 3,500 tons is an ultra-large-scale pulverized coal gasifier designed and developed by Aerospace Engineering Company for the development and demonstration projects of large-scale dry pulverized coal fluidized bed gasification technology. This furnace type optimizes the reactions inside the furnace and the control of the flow field, effectively ensuring good gasification performance, and it also incorporates a semi-waste pot + water quenching technology. This furnace type offers advantages such as higher production capacity, better technical performance, lower initial investment, reduced operating costs, and improved environmental standards; it represents the state-of-the-art gasification technology in modern coal chemical industry. During the R&D process, the process flows such as syngas dust removal and slag-water flash evaporation were further optimized, enhancing the safety, reliability, and automation level of the gasification unit. As a result, it features high gasification efficiency, advanced technical specifications, and low wastewater discharge.
