On March 19, the synthesis and distillation facility for producing 200,000 tons per year of green methanol as part of the Huadian Horqin Right Front Banner wind-solar hydrogen production integrated project (hydrogen production and green methanol production sections) was approved for operation. It is understood that the total investment in this project amounts to 2.71335 billion yuan. The construction site is located in the Xing’an League Economic and Technological Development Zone, with the planned construction period running from November 2026 to December 2028. Construction scale and scope: The area required for hydrogen production and green methanol production is approximately 518 mu. A new 220kV hydrogen reduction substation will be built, with an electrolysis capacity of 5.4*10,000 Nm³/h for hydrogen production; the hydrogen storage capacity will be around 570,000 Nm³. There will also be biomass gasification units, auxiliary utility systems, as well as facilities for the synthesis and distillation of 200,000 tons of green methanol per year.
