Recently, the construction of Hongda Coal Chemical’s clean coking and LNG new energy project has been accelerated. It is reported that 80% of the civil engineering work for this project has been completed, and the next step will be the installation of equipment. 50% of the masonry work for Coke Oven No. 1 has been completed ； The final preparatory work for the construction of Furnace No. 2 has been completed ； 2/3 of the construction of the environmentally friendly coal storage shed is complete. To ensure timely delivery, the construction party deployed over 1,000 workers and mobilized more than 50 large-scale machinery to work together, thereby accelerating the progress of the project. The Hongda Coal Chemical Clean Coking and LNG New Energy Project is one of the key transformation projects in Xiangyuan County, Shanxi Province, for the year 2020. It is also one of the twelve coking clusters with a capacity of over 5 million tons each, which are part of Shanxi Province’s plan to transform and upgrade the coking industry in the province. The total investment in the project is 4.7 billion yuan, with a land area of 1,659 mu. The project is planned to produce 2.53 million tons of metallurgical coke, 200,000 tons of LNG, 2*25MW generator sets, as well as a railway loading station capable of handling 10 million tons of cargo. The project is expected to complete all works for Phase 1 by the end of 2020, with full completion by the end of 2021.
