On September 11, a signing and launch ceremony was held for Tongda Coal Chemical Co., Ltd.’s second-phase project in its Modern Coal Chemical Industry Park, which aims to produce 100,000 tons of LNG per year through the methanation of coke oven gas. Liang Xiaoping, the company’s Deputy Party Secretary and General Manager, attended the ceremony and delivered a speech. The project is located in the Taisan Mountain Industrial Park in Wuzhong City, with a total investment of 1.89 billion yuan. It mainly involves the construction of an LNG production facility using coke oven gas for methanation, 6.25-meter-high rammed coke ovens, electrostatic precipitators for dust removal, desulfurization units, ammonium sulfate production facilities, benzene extraction systems, as well as various supporting infrastructure for water supply, electricity, gas supply, environmental protection, safety, fire protection, and energy conservation. The electrical and instrumentation company is responsible for carrying out all construction and installation work in the coal preparation area, the chemical production area, and the auxiliary facilities. The project is scheduled to be completed and put into operation by the end of 2021. At the commencement ceremony, Liang Xiaoping and Lian Bang, the chairman of Wuzhong Tongda Coal Chemical Co., Ltd., signed the agreement on site. During that time, Liang Xiaoping went to the construction site to inspect the phase one coking project under construction. Liang Xiaoping highly praised the progress of the construction work, and after conducting a comprehensive analysis of the current domestic and international situations as well as the company’s development status, he put forward specific requirements regarding project planning, quality and safety, schedule management, and cost control.
