Author/Source: Coal Chemical Industry 114 Forum Date: April 16, 2020 Clicks: 6 Recently, Dongfang Boiler successfully secured the contract to supply 3 high-temperature and high-pressure CFB boilers with a capacity of 260 tons per hour for Yushen Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. under Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group. The 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol project of Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Yushen Energy Chemical Co., Ltd. has a total investment of 6.98 billion yuan and covers an area of 1,365 mu. It utilizes Yanchang Petroleum’s own dimethyl ether carbonylation technology to produce 500,000 tons of ethanol per year; the project is scheduled to be completed by the end of 2021. This project is a key coal chemical project planned by Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Group during the 13th Five-Year Plan period; the preliminary feasibility study for its own power station proposes the use of 3×260 ton/hour high-temperature and high-pressure coal powder boilers. This project uses the Xiguan open-pit coal mine as its raw material, and employs the HT-L gasification technology to produce crude gas. One stream of this crude gas undergoes conversion, while another stream is used for waste heat recovery. Both streams are then subjected to low-temperature methanol washing to remove sulfur and carbon dioxide from them. The crude gas that has not undergone conversion is purified and separated into H2 and CO through deep cooling; part of the gas that has undergone conversion is sent to a PSA unit for hydrogen production, and another part is sent to a methanol synthesis unit to produce methanol. CO, H2, and methanol are then fed into an ethanol production facility. According to the person in charge of the project, in 2020, Yushen Company will make every effort to advance the construction of the ethanol project by aiming to achieve three \"completions\", two \"50% targets\", and one \"start\". The three \"completions\" refer to completing the annual investment of 1.18 billion yuan in the project, finalizing the EPC contract for the ethanol project, and completing the procurement of long-term-use equipment ； The two “50%” refer to completing 50% of the detailed design and 50% of the civil construction work ； A “Start” means beginning the device installation. To date, the dynamic compaction work for the ethanol project has been fully completed, and detailed surveying work is currently in progress ； The manufacturers for 15 long-cycle equipment units, including air separation units, gasifiers, and reactors in ethanol production facilities, have been identified, and the EPC bidding will take place in April.
