**Energy Group Ningmei’s coal-to-oil products production sets another record Author/Source: Coal Chemical Industry 114 Forum Date: 2020-09-03 Clicks: 21 On August 31, the coal-to-oil production unit achieved yet another success – it produced 370,200 tons of oil-based products in August, breaking the record set in July when 351,800 tons were produced. ——When the plant operates at full capacity throughout the month, the total cost decreases by 566 yuan per ton. ——Since the unit was put into operation following the major maintenance on June 9, it has operated stably for 84 days. ——The entire system operated at full load continuously for 53 days, steadily moving toward an even longer record. In August, Ningxia Coal Industry Company and its various departments attached great importance to improving the quality of coal used in the coal-to-oil project; they assisted the branch companies in coordinating the supply of raw coal. Even during maintenance periods, related units continued to carry out centralized train shipments as required by the company, to ensure an adequate supply of coal for the project ; The washing and sorting center adjusts its production mode appropriately to ensure a stable supply of refined coal. Timely correct data deviations in the coal blending area by adding coal samples of appropriate quality, and adjust process operations according to the ash content, in order to minimize the impact of ash on the continuous operation of the equipment ; Equipment management has been strengthened to enable scheduled maintenance of the gasification furnaces, ensuring that there is always a backup in place. Efforts have been made to improve the maintenance of these gasification devices, allowing equipment such as slag skimmers to operate stably over extended periods. As a result, the maintenance time for each furnace, which used to be around 70 days, has been reduced to less than 35 days, thereby minimizing the impact on the continuous operation of the entire system. The appearance of the gasification plant has also improved significantly. In terms of technological innovation, the Fischer-Tropsch synthesis catalyst independently developed by the branch company and the Beijing Institute of Low-Carbon Clean Energy has been put into use to reduce costs. At the same time, to address the production fluctuations caused by the new catalyst, efforts were made to improve yield and reduce losses. By identifying, analyzing, and discussing the issues that arose during operation, precise control was achieved over key parameters such as product conversion rate, carbon removal efficiency, and hydrogen recovery rate. This improved the plant’s carbon removal capacity, ensuring 100% utilization of the Fischer-Tropsch capacity.
