At 10:58 a.m. on September 6, the No. 2 coke oven in the first phase of this project was successfully ignited for heating up. Upon on-site testing, all parameters were operating normally, and the ignition and heating process was a complete success. Thus, the preparatory phase ahead of the commissioning of Phase 1 of the Yaxin Fine Chemicals and New Materials Recycling Project is about to begin. The successful ignition of the new Project 2# coke oven marks another significant achievement in the development of Yaxin Group’s coking operations, and it also indicates that progress has been made toward the goal of commencing operations by the end of October. With the official completion of the ignition and furnace heating ceremony, it signifies that the first phase of the new project is nearing its end. During the subsequent furnace heating process, the Yaxin project team will continue to carry out various management tasks diligently to ensure the successful achievement of the project’s commissioning goals. The Yaxin Fine Chemicals and New Materials Recycling Project is located in the Qingxu Fine Chemicals Recycling Industrial Park. It is designed to produce 2.8 million tons of metallurgical coke per year, 300,000 tons of methanol, along with 100,000 tons of liquid ammonia; it also includes 2×35MW waste heat power generation units, 30,000 tons of sulfuric acid, and 200,000 tons of DMMn – all of which are high-grade, high-value-added fine chemical products. The main construction components include: the coking section, which encompasses the coal preparation system, coke treatment system, coking facilities, desulfurization and denitration units, coke quenching facilities, gas purification systems, as well as various coal washing and other production facilities, along with the corresponding utility and auxiliary systems. The main equipment consists of JNX2-70-2 type top-loading coke ovens, with 3×65+1×55 chambers. The chemical production and processing system is part of the comprehensive utilization of coke oven gas; it includes compression units, purification units, methanol production units, ammonia synthesis units, air separation units, finished product storage areas, flares, and utility systems. It also encompasses the general layout within the site of the new facilities, storage and transportation systems, pipe racks and underground pipelines, water supply systems, sewage treatment systems, power supply systems, road lighting, laboratory facilities, fire protection systems, telecommunications and information systems, landscaping, as well as necessary production support facilities and other auxiliary and supporting systems. Coke oven gas is used to produce methanol, liquid ammonia, and high-value fine chemical products such as DMMn.
