The Guangxi Hua Yi Industrial Gas Island project, constructed by China National Sixth Engineering Corporation, has fully entered the stage of pressure testing of its process pipelines. Author/Source: Huahua Network – Coal Chemicals. Date: November 19, 2020. Clicks: 21. On November 16, the acceptance of the first set of process pipelines for the gasification unit in this project marked the beginning of the pressure testing phase for those pipelines. The Guangxi Huayi Industrial Gas Island project is located in the Qinzhou Port Economic and Technological Development Zone in Qinzhou City, Guangxi, covering an area of 1,230 mu. It is a key project invested and constructed by Shanghai Huayi (Group) Company. The core unit constructed by LiuHuaJian, the coal gasification unit, is expected to come online by the end of 2020. Once the gasification plant is completed and put into operation, it will produce industrial gases such as carbon monoxide and hydrogen for use by users within the industrial park, thereby playing a positive role in further improving the coal chemical industry chain at the Hua Yi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integrated Base. The Huayi Qinzhou Chemical New Materials Integrated Base project is located in the Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park, covering an area of about 8,000 mu, with a total investment of around 70 billion yuan. It will be implemented in three phases. It covers four major industrial chains: coal chemical industry, light hydrocarbon cracking, salt chemical industry, and downstream petrochemical industry, involving 40 types of chemical products and 65 sets of processing units. One of these industrial gas island projects, with a total investment of 14.3 billion yuan, is part of the coal chemical industry chain; construction began in November 2017. It will produce industrial gases such as hydrogen, syngas, and nitrogen for use by users within the industrial park, as well as chemical products like methanol, ethylene glycol, and acetic acid. Completion and operation are expected by 2020. The second phase of the light hydrocarbon comprehensive utilization project has a total investment of around 20.8 billion yuan. The project focuses on ethane cracking and propane dehydrogenation as its core processes, and it will produce products such as polyethylene, ethylene glycol, ethylene-vinyl acetate copolymer (EVA), acrylates, polyether polyols, caustic soda, and polyvinyl chloride. Construction is expected to begin in 2019. The main plant area of the project is located in plots 25 and 26 in the Qinzhou Petrochemical Industrial Park, to the south of it. The third-phase methanol-to-olefins and downstream processing project has a total investment of around 18.3 billion yuan; it will produce products such as polypropylene, polycarbonate, polymethyl methacrylate, caustic soda, and polyvinyl chloride, with construction expected to begin in 2025.
The core unit constructed by LiuHuaJian, the coal gasification unit, is expected to come online by the end of 2020. ===================================== A device of this size is only now starting pressure testing; there are still tasks such as purging to be carried out, and it will take at least three to five months before it can be put into operation
