The Zhong’an United Coal Chemical Integration Project is located in the Anhui (Huainan) Modern Coal Chemical Industry Park along the Huai River. The first phase of this project involves the production of 1.7 million tons per year of coal-based methanol and derived olefins, with an annual output of 350,000 tons of linear low-density polyethylene and 350,000 tons of polypropylene. It is one of the largest modern coal chemical projects planned in China. This project is a landmark initiative for the full-process integration of Sinopec’s coal chemical industry operations, a key project in Anhui Province, and Huainan City’s ‘No. 1 Project’. The Zhong’an United Coal Chemical Integration Project leverages Sinopec’s strong technical expertise and development resources in the petrochemical and chemical industries to actively pursue an innovation-driven strategy; it has overcome numerous challenges, setting a precedent for the development of modern coal chemical industry in China. The core process of the project utilizes S-MTO patent technology owned by Sinopec; the gasification unit employs SE-Oriental coal powder pressurized gasification technology, also owned by Sinopec, with a localization rate that meets the **\"double 95\" standard**. The core control system of this project adopts HOLLiAS’ petrochemical integrated solution. The original intention behind this cooperation is that Hali Corporation possesses world-class capabilities in the automation and information integration of petrochemical and coal chemical industries. HOLLiAS’ petrochemical integration solution: Hangzhou HOLLiAS Automation Co., Ltd. participates in the project construction under the MAV model, offering HOLLiAS’ ‘HOLLiAS Petrochemical Integration Solution’ which integrates nine systems (DCS, AMS, ODS, AAS, OTS, DLP, GDS, DEH, ETS). The project includes a total of 19 domains in the DCS system, with approximately 80,000 I/O points and around 130,000 communication points. The combustible/toxic gas detection system (GDS) utilizes Hilscher’s HiaGuard Safety Instrumented System (SIS) products (SIL3 level), with approximately 4,000 I/O points. HOLLiAS’ Petrochemical Integrated Solution is specifically developed to meet the needs of users in the petrochemical and coal chemical industries. It offers products and services throughout the entire product lifecycle, providing value-added solutions in areas such as process control, safety management, operational optimization, and production management, with the goal of optimizing corporate operations. The project had its entire process completed in one go. The Hilscher Zhong’an project team worked hard for over 1,000 days and nights, and on July 31, 2019, they helped the client complete the entire process at once. The successful commissioning of the Zhong’an project has achieved **the localization of key industrial control equipment and the independence in core technologies**, making positive contributions to ensuring **energy strategic security and promoting regional economic development**.
