Construction Begins on Yihua’s Biodegradable Materials Project Author/Source: Sinochem News Network Date: 2021-03-01 Clicks: 42 On February 21, the 60,000-ton-per-year biodegradable materials project of Hubei Yihua Biodegradable New Materials Co., Ltd. commenced construction in the Yaojiagang Chemical Industrial Park in Yichang. 　　It is reported that the Yihua biodegradable new materials project is Hubei’s first PBAT project; it is constructed by Hubei Yihua Group Co., Ltd., with a total investment of 2.4 billion yuan. The project requires 400 mu of land for construction, and its planned production capacity is 180,000 tons per year. 　　This project utilizes an advanced continuous polymerization process to build a PBAT production facility, which can generate 6,600 tons per year of **furan as a by-product. Upon completion of the project, it will have the capacity to produce 60,000 tons per year of the biodegradable PBAT resin, generating annual sales revenue of 4.5 billion yuan.
