Huafeng Group’s project for annual production of 600,000 tons of biodegradable plastics has been signed! This project is Ryan’s first domestic manufacturing facility with a valuation of over 10 billion yuan; it will contribute to the local economic development and help achieve carbon peak and carbon neutrality goals. The newly signed Huafeng high-performance biodegradable new materials project, worth tens of billions of yuan, aims to build facilities capable of producing 600,000 tons per year of biodegradable plastics such as PBAT and modified CO2-based high-molecular-weight biodegradable plastics; the total investment for this project is 11.8 billion yuan. The project is initially located in Phase II of Dingshan, Ryan Economic Development Zone, with a planned total land area of 742.51 mu. Once completed, it is expected to generate annual sales revenue of 15.2 billion yuan and tax revenues of 520 million yuan. Biodegradable plastics are strategic emerging industries. The PBAT in this project is a copolymer of butylene adipate and butylene terephthalate, and it belongs to typical biodegradable materials. Modified CO2-based high-molecular-weight biodegradable plastics belong to aliphatic carbonates; they are thermoplastic biodegradable polymer materials that use carbon dioxide as the main raw material and are biocompatible and non-toxic. At present, Huafeng Group is the world’s largest producer of adipic acid, and its technology in the field of biodegradable new materials is at the international leading level. This project is an important part of Huafeng Group’s industrial strategy for achieving a revenue target of 100 billion yuan during the 14th Five-Year Plan period. It aims to turn this project into a model of innovation, sustainability, and safety across the country and within the industry as a whole. By doing so, it seeks to meet the market’s demand for high-performance biodegradable plastics, contribute to the implementation and promotion of plastic restriction and prohibition policies in China, actively support the goal of carbon neutrality, promote carbon reduction, and explore pathways for the development of a green circular economy. Ma Shengcong, Secretary of the Municipal Party Committee, said at the signing ceremony that currently Ruian is working to build a \"321\" modern industrial system, foster a new materials industry cluster worth 50 billion yuan, and turn itself into a city of industry champions. The billion-yuan Hua Feng high-performance biodegradable new materials project is a major initiative by Hua Feng Group to implement the new development concepts, respond to the calls for carbon neutrality and peak carbon emissions, and promote innovative development. It is also the first manufacturing project of this scale in Ruian that has seen growth from within the local area, reflecting Hua Feng Group’s commitment to its hometown and its sense of social responsibility regarding green development. The implementation and operation of this project will not only help Huafeng Group optimize its product portfolio and enhance its competitiveness in the new materials sector, but it will also enable Ruian to achieve carbon neutrality and peak carbon emissions ahead of other regions, thus promoting sustainable development. It will certainly provide strong impetus for the high-quality development of both Huafeng Group and Ruian. With this signing as a starting point, the billion-yuan Hua Feng high-performance biodegradable new materials project has established a timeline and action plan to accelerate its implementation, construction, and commissioning, thereby seizing the opportunities presented by the \"dual circulation\" strategy. It is hoped that Huafeng Group will take root in Ruian, deepen its presence there, and bring more projects to the city. We will provide full-process tracking services, respond promptly to any requests, and tackle key challenges. City leaders will be assigned to oversee these projects, with dedicated teams providing support. We will offer top-tier services throughout the entire project lifecycle, from signing contracts and obtaining approvals to commencement, construction, and operation.
