Hebei Coal-Based Fine Chemicals Center Passes Inspection/Author/Source: Sinochem News Network Date: February 18, 2022 Clicks: 12 Recently, the Hebei Province Coal-Based Fine Chemicals Technology Innovation Center passed the inspection by an expert panel from the provincial science and technology department, and has now entered the stage of actual operation. It is understood that the Hebei Province Coal-based Fine Chemicals Technology Innovation Center was officially approved for establishment in August 2019. Built on the existing R&D facilities of Zhonghao Company, it involved the integration, expansion, and improvement of relevant scientific and technological resources, and took 2 years to be completed. Focusing on three key areas – the efficient utilization of coal resources, green catalytic processes in the chemical industry, and coal-based new materials – the center aims to achieve higher functionality in coal-based fine chemicals as well as to make the synthesis processes more environmentally friendly. It carries out research on topics such as the development of technologies for producing polyoxymethylene with low VOC levels, the development of catalysts for downstream products of adipic acid, and the research on the production and application of coal-based new materials. To date, research and development work has been completed on 7 scientific and technological innovation projects, including the development of technologies for producing copolymerized formaldehyde with extremely low viscosity; a number of scientific and technological achievements have been produced as a result. More than 10 scientific papers at **-level and provincial levels have been published, and 5 innovative research results have been successfully applied in industrial production and brought to market. Next, Zhonghao Company will continue to regard the improvement of its corporate innovation platforms as an important means to enhance its independent innovation capabilities. It will steadily boost the independent innovation and technical service capabilities of its technology innovation centers, gather superior scientific and technological resources, carry out research and development on key core technologies in the industry, promote the transformation of scientific and technological achievements, and drive technological progress within the industry.
