On the afternoon of July 24, the first shift converter (1301-R-001) of the Yushen 500,000-ton/year coal-based ethanol project was successfully installed in place. The first shift converter lifted this time is one of the key equipment in the shift unit. It features a fully axial two-stage insulated design, and its function is to carry out a shift reaction on the raw gas supplied from the gasification unit under the action of a sulfur-resistant catalyst, thereby partially converting carbon monoxide. The equipment has a diameter of 3 meters, a height of 13 meters, and weighs 93 tons. It was lifted into place safely in one operation, using a 250-ton crawler crane as the main lifting device, with an 80-ton crawler crane assisting in stabilizing its tail end. The successful hoisting of the first shift converter marks that the installation of equipment for the shift section of the Yushen Ethanol Project has entered a fast track. Subsequently, subsequent installation work will also be carried out in succession.
