Three awards won in succession for the innovative project of Ningxia Coal Industry Group’s Coal-to-Oil Instrument Management Center Author/Source: Sinochem News Network Date: 2021-08-12 Clicks: 21 Recently, the project \"Research, Development, and Application of Domestic Instruments for the 4 million tons/year Coal Indirect Liquefaction Project\", submitted by Ningxia Coal Industry Group’s Coal-to-Oil Instrument Management Center, won three prestigious awards: the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress at the autonomous region level, the Third Prize in science and technology from the China Coal Industry Association, and the Third Prize for Scientific and Technological Progress from the China Petroleum and Chemical Industry Federation. Taking into account the operational requirements, technical characteristics, design specifications, and harsh working conditions of the coal-to-oil project, the center analyzed the causes of errors. Despite initial failure in debugging, it did not give up and conducted repeated feasibility studies. By ingeniously designing the internal structure of valves, developing new functional instruments, and optimizing detection and measurement methods, it managed to replace the imported brands of key instruments used in the 4 million tons per year coal-to-oil project with domestically produced alternatives. This reduced the incidence of instrument failures, improved the operational efficiency of the coal-to-oil facility, broke the technical monopoly held by foreign instrument manufacturers, and led to maximum efficiency. Production practice has shown that this project performs well; its various performance indicators and service life are superior to those of the imported brands currently in use or those used in previous projects. In coal-to-oil plants with a capacity of 4 million tons per year, it has gradually replaced the original imported products, offering broad prospects for further adoption. Its technology is at the leading level in the domestic industry, and it brings significant economic and social benefits.
