On June 20, the 12 million tons per year coal grading, quality separation, and comprehensive utilization project of Xinjiang Longjiang New Energy Co., Ltd. commenced construction. The project is located in the Hongshan Industrial Park of the Naomaohu Economic and Technological Development Zone, with a total investment of 27.4 billion yuan. It involves the construction of processing facilities for coal screening and crushing, coal carbonization, and the deep processing of coal tar, as well as supporting storage, transportation, and utility systems. The project integrates advanced technologies such as coal liquefaction, oil-based mixed aromatics production, aromatization, coal-to-hydrogen conversion, coal carbonization, tar processing, and treatment of phenol-containing wastewater. Once operational, it is expected to generate an annual revenue of 15.4 billion yuan, pay around 1.7 billion yuan in taxes, and create approximately 2,000 job opportunities.
