On November 30, the main structural framework of the gasification unit for the 500,000 tons per year coal-based ethanol production project undertaken by Sinochem Sixth Construction Co., Ltd. for Shaanxi Yanchang Petroleum Yushen Energy Chemical Co., Ltd., was successfully completed. The gasification framework is the core production framework of the gasification unit, incorporating key equipment such as the gasification furnace, pulverized coal feed tank, pulverized coal hopper, and pulverized coal bag filter. The height of the steel structure core reaches 94 m, starting from a 38 m concrete frame; the steel structure portion is 56 m high and weighs 3,665 t in total. After 83 days of hard work, the project team successfully completed the topping out of the structure. Located in the South Area of Qingshui Industrial Park, Yushen Industrial Park, Yulin City, Shaanxi Province, this project covers an area of 1,365 mu. Once completed, it will pave the way for the coal chemical industry to move toward cleaner energy sources. The chemicals produced, such as ethylene, styrene, vinyl acetate, acetaldehyde, and diethyl ether, will greatly contribute to the development of downstream industrial chains. Additionally, it is expected to create over 1,000 jobs locally. The sixth branch of Sinochem Sixth Construction Company is responsible for the steel structure work of the gasification unit in this project.
