The ammonia synthesis project of Ningxia Runfeng New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. uses the waste gas (hydrogen-rich gas) from the propane dehydrogenation unit as raw material; hydrogen is purified using a PSA hydrogen purification unit, and this hydrogen is then mixed with nitrogen produced by the air separation nitrogen production unit. After being pressurized by compressors, the mixture enters the ammonia synthesis process to produce ammonia. The design work for this project undertaken by Lu’an Zhengyuan Design Company includes the PSA hydrogen purification unit, air separation nitrogen production unit, hydrogen and nitrogen compression units, ammonia synthesis unit, refrigeration unit, ammonia water production unit, liquid ammonia and ammonia water storage tanks and loading systems, as well as the associated utility systems and auxiliary facilities. The design company worked closely with the client to handle all the necessary construction procedures for this project. The design drawings have now successfully passed the construction drawing review process, thus completing the design tasks for this project successfully. Ningxia Runfeng New Materials Technology Co., Ltd. is a new-type chemical enterprise founded on November 27, 2018, and is located in Area A of the Linhe Comprehensive Industrial Park in the Ningdong area, on Guangyin North Road. The company invested 3.2 billion yuan in building a light hydrocarbon industry chain and comprehensive hydrogen utilization facilities. The project covers an area of 518 mu. Construction officially began in June 2019, with the first phase scheduled to be completed and put into operation in April 2021, followed by the gradual commissioning of the facilities for the second and third phases. Once the project is fully completed and put into operation, it will be able to process 400,000 tons of liquefied gas from surrounding enterprises each year, and produce 300,000 tons of polypropylene homopolymer pellets, 80,000 tons of liquid ammonia, and 120,000 tons of ammonia water annually. Achieving annual sales revenue of 5 billion yuan, a net profit of 320 million yuan, and tax revenues of 309 million yuan; creating 500 new jobs – this will yield good economic and social benefits, while also contributing to the innovative, green, and high-quality development of the Ningdong Energy and Chemical Industry Base.
