The \"minor renovation\" of the compound fertilizer mixing tank at the Wenxi Compound Fertilizer Branch has yielded significant results. After the renovation of the mixing tank, and following more than 3 months of operation, all parameters related to the high-tower urea-based production facility are satisfactory. The output per shift has increased by nearly 3 tons. For the compound fertilizers 18-18-18 and 17-17-17, it has been possible to use ammonium phosphate at lower prices – 55% and 60% respectively – in place of more expensive potassium dihydrogen phosphate and 73% ammonium phosphate, resulting in a cost reduction of nearly 200 yuan per ton of fertilizer. Meanwhile, the amount of ammonium chloride added per ton of high-nitrogen, high-chlorine fertilizers has increased by over 50 kg, leading to a cost reduction of more than 20 yuan per ton. By the end of 2021, the company managed to reduce the time required for solid materials to melt by 2 to 3 hours through measures such as increasing the diameter of the coils in the original mixing tank by 38 mm, expanding the heat exchange area by 15 m2, and installing guide tubes on the blades of the stirrers.
