Anhua Group Demolishes Old Granulation Tower Author/Source: Anhua Group Date: 2022-05-26 Clicks: 15 At 16:52 on May 24, 2022, amid the roar of the large anti-aircraft crane’s robotic arm, one of the two granulation towers in Anhua Group’s ammonia and urea production facility was successfully demolished. This tower, with a diameter of 15 meters and a height of 85.7 meters, thus fulfilled its historic mission and came to a successful conclusion. It also marks significant progress in one of the key steps of the upgrade project for the raw material supply chain: the demolition of an ammonia and urea production facility. The entire demolition process is now nearing completion, laying a solid foundation for the subsequent preparation of the construction site, including the establishment of essential infrastructure, and for the commencement of construction of the main facilities. To date, 13 sets of equipment and facilities within the proposed site area for the raw material route project, including gas generation furnace units, boilers No. 1–4, boiler No. 8, steam turbines No. 1 and No. 3, urea production units, purification units, synthesis units, etc., as well as more than 20 buildings and structures such as coal storage yards, the urea control building, and urea high-pressure frames, have been demolished. The demolition of structures above ground level is expected to be completed in May, while the removal of foundations below ground level will be finished in June; thereby completing the entire demolition process for the ammonia and urea production plant. The procedures such as project registration, pre-assessment of occupational disease hazards, environmental impact assessment, safety condition review, and energy conservation review have been completed.
