Sinochem New Network reports that at the National On-site Promotion Conference on “AI+” in the energy sector, the first batch of high-value “AI+” energy scenarios was announced. What are high-value application scenarios? From the perspective of demand, focus on the key issues that have long constrained the industry’s development ; In terms of development stage, there is great potential for AI technologies to be applied; however, their industry applications are still in the early stages. In the future, they may have a disruptive and transformative impact on industry development ; In terms of effectiveness, it has the potential for industry-wide promotion; its large-scale application can facilitate the transformation and upgrading of the energy industry. Previously, the National Development and Reform Commission and the National Energy Administration issued implementation guidelines on promoting the high-quality development of “AI+” in the energy sector, calling for accelerating the application of AI in various energy-related scenarios. The 51 high-value use cases released this time focus on the eight typical application areas identified in the proposals, aiming to develop a new paradigm for the integrated development of \"artificial intelligence\" and energy that enables the scalable replication of comprehensive solutions and provides a model for business models, thereby promoting the advancement of the intelligent development of the energy industry. Among these, in the power grid sector, artificial intelligence enhances the operational efficiency of power grid management by focusing on scenarios such as planning review and dispatch operations ; In the field of new energy business models, artificial intelligence facilitates the incubation, cultivation, and large-scale development of these models by supporting scenarios such as virtual power plants and vehicle-grid interaction ; In the field of new energy, through the integration of diverse data, artificial intelligence aids in power prediction and market-based operations, thereby enhancing participation in the new energy market as well as the capacity for centralized operation. **Wang Hongzhi, Director of the National Energy Administration, said that as China’s \"Artificial Intelligence + Energy\" initiative moves from concept to practice, from exploration to widespread implementation, the industrial structure is evolving at an accelerated pace, innovative applications are emerging in various areas, and the foundations for integration are being strengthened. This will accelerate the mutual empowerment between artificial intelligence and the energy sector, thereby fostering the development of new forms of productivity in the energy field as well as bringing about profound changes in production relations.
