On April 16, the groundbreaking ceremony for the integrated demonstration project in Guazhou County, which aims to produce 250,000 tons per year of green methanol through the combination of wind and solar power for hydrogen production and biomass utilization, was held at the Liugou Coal Chemical Industry Park. This project is listed as a key construction project in Gansu Province for 2026; its total investment amounts to around 5 billion yuan. Located in the Liugou Coal Chemical Industry Park in Guazhou County, it serves as a model project for the integration of new energy and chemical industries in Jiuquan City and Guazhou County. The project aims to establish a green production system covering wind, solar, storage, hydrogen, and methanol production, utilizing world-leading coupling technologies. Once completed, it will be capable of producing 250,000 tons of green methanol per year, which will help address the issue of local utilization of new energy sources and support the development of a \"green hydrogen corridor\" in the Hexi region.
