On February 12, the technology for the green conversion and utilization of the potent greenhouse gas trifluoromethane, developed by Sinochem Blue Sky Group Co., Ltd., was included in the \"List of Low-Carbon Technologies to Be Promoted Prioritarily (Fifth Batch)\") published by the Ministry of Ecology and Environment and other agencies. Trifluoromethane is a potent greenhouse gas, with a greenhouse effect potential 14,800 times that of carbon dioxide. This technology is an advanced approach for the reduction of trifluoromethane emissions and its resource utilization; it employs catalysts to facilitate an intermolecular fluorochlorine exchange reaction between trifluoromethane and trichloromethane, resulting in the formation of difluorochloromethane and monofluorodichloromethane. In addition, Sinochem Blue Sky has innovatively developed a trifluoromethane conversion cycle coupling process suitable for industrial application, and established a highly selective and long-lasting fluorochlorine exchange catalyst system. As the project is further promoted and applied, this technology is expected to enable the reduction of trifluoromethane emissions and its sustainable utilization on a larger scale, helping China fulfill its international environmental commitments, mitigate global warming, and achieve the \"dual carbon\" goals.
The green resource conversion and utilization technology for trifluoromethane developed by Sinochem Blue Sky Group Co., Ltd. has been included in the **List of Low-Carbon Technologies to Be Promoted Prioritarily (Fifth Batch)**. This technology promotes the fluorochlorine exchange reaction between trifluoromethane and trichloromethane through a catalyst, producing difluorochloromethane and monofluorodichloromethane, thereby effectively reducing trifluoromethane emissions and helping China to mitigate global warming and achieve its \"dual carbon\" goals. .
