On June 5, the Changde Ecology and Environment Bureau planned to issue its approval decision regarding the technological transformation project of Hunan Guohong Fluorine Chemical Co., Ltd. related to sodium trifluoromethanesulfinate and 2-trifluoromethyl-4-heptafluoroisopropylaniline, and to make this decision public. Project Name: Technical Transformation Project for Sodium Trifluoromethanesulfinate and 2-Trifluoromethyl-4-heptafluoroisopropylaniline ； Construction location: Linli High-Tech Industrial Development Zone, Hunan ； Construction nature: Renovation and expansion ； Construction investment: 12 million yuan ； Construction unit: Hunan Guohong Fluorine Chemical Co., Ltd ； Construction details: Utilize the existing dichlorodifluoromethane production line by adding additional sulfonation equipment, reduce the output of dichlorodifluoromethane, and produce 1,000 tons per year of sodium trifluoromethanesulfinate through co-production ； Expand the existing heptafluorobromopropane production line; using the existing heptafluorobromopropane as raw material, add alkylation equipment to produce the downstream product 2-trifluoromethyl-4-heptafluoroisopropylaniline, with a production capacity of 500 tons per year. Hunan Guohong Fluorine Chemical Co., Ltd. was established on February 22, 2011, with its registered address located in Anfu Industrial Park, Linli Economic Development Zone, Hunan. In 2011, the company launched a project to build a production line for green refrigerants, with an annual capacity of 3,000 tons of dichlorodifluoromethane and 1,250 tons of pentafluoroethane. Due to market reasons, the company discontinued its production line for 1,250 tons per year of pentafluoroethane and now only produces difluoromethane, at a capacity of 3,000 tons per year. At present, the company’s originally approved projects to produce 3,000 tons of difluoromethane and 10,000 tons of hydrochloric acid as a by-product are currently shut down. The company launched a new production project for 1,000 tons of heptafluorobromopropane in July 2024; it received approval for the environmental impact assessment on July 22, 2024, and has now obtained the pollution discharge permit and begun trial production.
