Here is what was found online: Silicone oils from different manufacturers allow different temperature ranges under the same operating pressure conditions. For normal pressure conditions, ordinary silicone oils can meet the requirements ； In positive-pressure operating conditions where the temperature exceeds 190°C, it is necessary to consider using silicone oils with a higher grade ； For normal-pressure conditions above 250°C, high-temperature silicone oil needs to be considered ； Special attention is required in conditions of negative pressure or vacuum, where the operating temperature exceeds 190°C.
It depends on the temperature of the heat tracing and the maximum temperature tolerance of the oil inside the mold box; for standard 200# silicone oil, that maximum temperature is around 200 degrees
When providing heat tracing, it is important to ensure that the amount of heat applied to the positive and negative pressure sides is equal; otherwise, it will affect the accuracy of measurements.
