I am currently learning Aspen Hysys; all three are chemical process simulation software. Which one is more widely used in practice? Those with practical work experience, please share your insights!
It’s not easy to learn well; in my opinion, the best option in terms of simplicity is Aspen Plus. PROⅡ, Aspen Hysys
Aspen Plus has a broader range of uses
You might have had overly high expectations for this software. These process simulation software tools are all used to assist in design. In other words, if you have never used them at all, or if you don’t understand the manufacturing process, then having access to these auxiliary tools serves no purpose other than wasting time. In other words, learning the *software itself will not make you a comprehensive process expert. And only if you can master any one of the software programs that can be combined with your field of study and work can that software fulfill its intended purpose. So, before returning to your question, you need to understand what profession you are in and in which areas you expect the software to help you.
It also depends on your research framework~~~:lol:lol:lol:lol
Personally, I think it’s simple enough to be considered difficult; ProII Plus and HYSYS are the two mainstream options
I’ve heard that HYSYS is widely used for oil and gas processing, but I’m not sure what the difference is between ASPEN PLUS and HYSYS in this area.
It depends on the specific field you are working in.
Choose one that suits the work requirements.
