Product Definition: The two-color hollow wall plastic-steel wrapped polyethylene pipe is made by using hollow polyethylene (PE) sheets as the base material, with an “Ω”-shaped steel framework serving as the main supporting structure. The raw material for this steel framework is galvanized steel strip; the pipe is manufactured through a winding process, resulting in a pipe with a smooth inner wall, a wavy outer wall, and a blue interior. This type of pipe is referred to as a “HWPSP” pipe.IV. Basic Characteristics: 1. High ring stiffness: The pipe is formed using the winding process, with a high-strength, freely movable “Ω”-shaped steel framework made of galvanized steel strip. It possesses extremely high compressive strength, high toughness, and high durability. Its compressive strength is 2–4 times that of ordinary plastic pipes; 2. Strong resistance to chemicals, corrosion, and aging: High-density polyethylene possesses excellent resistance to corrosion and chemical erosion. Galvanized steel strips are manufactured through processes such as pickling and galvanizing, and they are widely used in water supply pipes; they also have strong corrosion resistance, ensuring a service life of 50 years ; 3. It possesses excellent flexibility and seismic resistance: HDPE is a polymer material, and the steel framework lining it allows for free movement, resulting in good axial flexibility. In situations such as uneven soil settlement, excessive local loads, or sudden loads and disasters like earthquakes, the pipe can absorb the resulting stresses through elastic deformation ; 4. Good hydraulic properties: The inner wall of pipes made of polyethylene is smooth, offering strong wear resistance; the friction coefficient is around 0.009, and deposits do not easily form on the inner wall, preventing the pipes from getting clogged ; 5. Easy construction and installation: The pipes are lightweight, so no large lifting equipment is required for installation; there are few joints, making the installation process simple, which can **reduce the construction time**.
