For the grease injection valves on large valves (12 inches, 14 inches, etc.), which are of the flat-thread type, what kind of grease gun nozzle should be purchased? Thank you!
Generally speaking, the grease injection nozzles used on such large valves should be of large diameter, for example, nozzles with a diameter of over 30 mm. This is necessary in order to match the grease injection valve on the valve, facilitating lubrication operations. When making the purchase, it is recommended to choose the appropriate oil gun nozzle based on the valve’s specifications and model, in order to ensure optimal performance and safety. .
I found a flat-butter gun tip that is 22mm (7/8 inch). However, since the check ball of this nozzle is built-in, it is not yet certain whether it can be filled. Planning to buy it and give it a try. If that doesn’t work, switching to a 22mm oil nozzle with an external check valve ball, also of 1/2 NPT size, should do the trick.
Take a look at which one is suitable; if not, use a diameter-changing fitting for the survey vehicle.
